About RJ & The James Brown Band

As you know, bands that have been around for decades often have no more than one or two original band members that carry on the flame.

In the case of RJ & the James Brown Band, however, you've got nearly ALL of the members of the last band assembled by James Brown himself!

RJ, his right-hand man and closest friend in the world, to whom Mr. Brown, the Godfather of Soul himself would often say “Man, I got you standing over there because one day you’re going to have to stand right here.”  R.J. is now "standing right here" as front man to the ban just as James Brown himself intended.

These amazing and well-accomplished musicians traveled with, and played with, Mr. Brown for 15 years before his demise in December of 2006. Some of the members were with James Brown for as long as 35 or 40 years!

And don't expect to get bored by this band trying new music on you at a concert. No way! They all figure that James Brown's already recorded the BEST music. What's the point of trying to fix something that sure as heck ain't broken?

You'll close your eyes and feel like the man himself is right there on stage - you'll KNOW, you'll FEEL, that his spirit sure is right there with this band, his band, no doubt about it.

You just know it at the first stroke of the keyboard key, the first strum of the guitar, the very moment that band walks on that stage to rock your world for a time.
